It’s hard to know why it’s taken so long, but by one count, 35 advertisers have dropped sponsorship of Limbaugh’s radio show following his sexually obsessed rant about a young woman who testified before Democratic members of the house concerning the importance of birth control being part of health insurance plans.
So far, Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, Tax Resolution, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, Allstate Insurance, Sensa, Bare Escentuals, Vitacost, Hadeed Carpet, Thompson Creek Windows, PolyCom, Service Magic, AccuQuote Life Insurance, Geico, John Deere, Stamps.com, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bethesda Sedation Dentistry, Cascades Dental, Philadelphia Orchestra, Goodwill Industries, Heart & Body Extract,Netflix, Downeast Energy, Capitol One, JCPenney, Matrix Direct, and Reputation Rhino have pulled ads from the program, and several others are considering following their lead.
It’s clear that that Limbaugh has a pornographic imagination and should be carefully watched for signs of further acting out.
